To Charlie’s offhand comment (spoken with his lips curled in disgust) about the number of bras (grown-up and training) that lay in a small mound on the floor in front of the washing machine, the older, wiser brother (Max) said to the younger, inexperienced child:
“Bras are something you really shouldn’t go on and on about, Charlie. It’s juvenile. If you see a pile of bras like this one here, you need to just walk past it quietly…move on with dignity.”
The two boys then proceeded to walk on into the kitchen for their breakfast and I went back to sorting my laundry piles…bras and otherwise.
