This just in. Max revealed that six kids barfed during lacrosse tryouts last night. Another kid had an asthma attack and started crying (like, you know, maybe because he was afraid of DYING!!!!!)

“So, you must not be looking forward to tonight’s practice/tryout very much.” I commented.

“On the contrary,” Max said, “I’m totally psyched!”

“Really?”

“Really. Both the coach and the assistant coach are ex-Marines. I’m pretty sure one of them worked drills cuz he loves to use that bull horn,” Max says with a smirk.

“Well, that’s just great,” I murmur.

“I know isn’t it? My coaches are ex-marines. It’s pretty cool.”
