Gigi watches me as I come upon the watery mess in the Kids’ Bathroom – puddles, soapy splotches all around, persistent dripping from the sink counter to the bathroom floor. I’ve figured out the cause of all the wet in a matter of seconds. Eight freshly bathed naked Barbies (with their blonde hairs still soppy) rest in a neat row on the bathroom counter top.
“Gee, (I said ‘Gee,’ really I did!) Genevieve, this is really a BIG wet mess. The water is like…everywhere!”
“I know it. Sorry, Mom. I needed to fresh up my Barbies. Good thing I didn’t give ’em a shower, right?”
(Right! He, he, he.)
